These Terms and Conditions serve as the contract between the customer and The Queen’s Whisk.
By paying and agreeing to the final invoice, the customer is agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
You will be requested to read and tick the box in the ‘Custom Order Form’ indicating you have read, understood and agreed to accept the following Terms and Conditions.
Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to the artistic interpretation of The Queen’s Whisk, therefore small variations may occur from the colour and design requested.
I will use photos for design inspiration only! Colour matching is not a precise science. The Queen’s Whisk will do everything possible to match your colour palette but sometimes it may not be 100% perfect.
***All dessert items are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our premises. We are not responsible for any damage occurring during your transportation. Custom cookies, Artisan floral cupcakes and Bespoke cupcakes are considered fragile and if not handled properly, the desserts may crack, smudge or have structural damage. Please handle with care when transporting***
Custom cookies and cupcake pricing are non-negotiable and are priced according to your exact specific design.
Special event box packaging is subjected to an additional charge ie. bows/ribbons, individual take-away boxes, and/or gift tags.
All inquiries are first come, first serve. Only payment will guarantee and secure your event pick up date. Once the order has been placed, the amount must be paid in FULL within 24 hours. All invoices must be paid through our online link (courtesy of Square payment service) at which will be sent to you through email and you will have a 24 hour window to pay otherwise the link provided will expire and your order is cancelled. When this occurs, it is the customer’s responsibility to contact The Queen’s Whisk to allow and check for availability should you wish to choose continue booking you event.
Inquiries do come through on a daily basis and if we do not receive a reply from the customer to continue resuming the order after 24 -48 hours we regret that we may become booked in that time and reserve the right to move forward to the next ready customer in queue.
In the event that The Queen’s Whisk is subject to availability and is able to take a last minute order (2 weeks before pick up date) there is a 25% rush fee for the order.
Email correspondences does not guarantee a reserved date until final payment is completed.
We Do Not accept customer event cancellations on any Custom Artisan Cookie Orders or Floral/Bespoke Cupcake Orders. Once payment is processed, there are no refunds, exchanges or transferable payments for another date selected. As a single sole proprietor private baker, I am often booked well in advance and have limitations in flexibility to shift cancelled dates around. It is the responsibility and sureness of the customer to keep there reserved original event date requested so as not to lose their secured payment.
If you experience a situation where your event has changed, it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange pick up and/or storage of your own custom baked goods. Please refer to our “Best Before Date/ Storage Conditions” section down below. We do not offer ‘lay away’ or stored on premise frozen desserts for a later date pick up, the customer is required to retrieve there product on arranged day of pick up.
Any changes in design of your Custom desserts after payment is complete will and cannot be accommodated. Please be sure you are certain in your choices before going forth with your order.
The Queen’s Whisk reserves the right to cancel any booking in exceptional circumstances beyond their control, such as fire or ill health, during such times, a full refund will be made as soon as possible in the event of this case.
If your custom order exceeds $1000 then a 50% cost deposit is required immediately to secure your future order. The remaining 50% cost is required to be paid 14 days prior to your pick up date. Items will not be released until full payment have been finalized. All payments are made through our online link (via Square payment service) and will have a 24 hour link expiry once it is sent to you via customer email.
In our 3 Tiered Custom Cookie system, it is required in the Order Form to choose which Tier you would prefer. Depending on the Tier selected, the number of design options changes. Customer quantity is provided on the Order Form and it must be close to the final quantity amount you require.
***Quantity in either designer cookies and/or cupcakes are a very crucial part of your event information and if made falsely (a lower amount then you know you may require more eventually), this may impact what quantity I am able to service and provide you with in the end***
Quantities may not be reduced after payment has been completed, and if a significant increase is required after payment is complete, I may or may not be able to accommodate pending on the designs selected head on. It is greatly appreciated to notify the baker (myself) well ahead of time if you require more product quantities. I do not accept an increase in quantities 3 weeks prior to the due date. For cookie orders, the same theme / flavour is required.
For cupcake orders, the same theme / flavour is also required by the dozen.
All cookies and cupcakes are made with love and baked fresh for your pick up date. I cannot guarantee its quality if consumed past the recommended time. All cupcakes are best consumed within 24 hours as they are made with natural ingredients and do not have the same shelf life as a supermarket which contain additives and preservatives to ensure their prolonged life. Cupcakes should also be kept at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and not in the fridge as this will dry out the ingredients.
Sugar cookies will stay fresh if kept sealed in there individual packages for up to 3-4 weeks as is best consumed. Should you choose to enjoy at a later date post recommended time frame, you may freeze cookies in an air tight container for up to 3 months. Please follow the instructions on your ‘Cookie Care’ card given to you. Please keep cookies in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. Desserts kept in vehicles on hot, humid days will harm and melt the design on your desserts.
Some cupcakes may contain items that are not edible (such as sprinkle rods, cupcake toppers, mini dried/ or fresh florals). Some cookies may contain hard edible items such as isomalt gems, pearl sprinkles, or any loose decorative finishes must be removed as they may be a choking hazard to small children. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are removed prior to consumption.
Orders may only be collected upon our premises at your pre-arranged time and date. Collection address resides in Oakville, Ontario Canada and once full payment is processed for your order, only then a full address is given. It is your duty to examine cupcakes/cookies upon collection to ensure the order is complete. All orders are safely packaged in decorative boxes and once your order leaves our location they become the client’s full responsibility throughout transportation of goods. We are not held responsible for any damages or cracks that may occur during your transportation. A Care instructional card is given with every order to ensure safety of your goods. Drive safely!
I reserve the right to use all photographs of cookies and cupcakes for advertising purposes only.
All photographs are taken on a food grade safe backdrop and props made specifically for food photography use only.
No preservatives or additives are used in The Queen’s Whisk’s products. Therefore they should be treated as fresh food and should be consumed within 24 hours for cupcakes and cookies up to 3-4 weeks from the collection date.
I cannot guarantee that desserts are 100% allergen free. It is up to the customer to notify guests in case of allergies. Professional Food Colours are used in the buttercream on The Queen’s Whisk’s cupcakes which vary from product to product depending on the colour choices made. The food colour manufacturers state that various allergens are used in the factories producing the products and therefore cannot guarantee they are allergen free.
Ingredients and baking equipment may have come in contact with or are stored by milk, wheat, eggs, nuts and other allergens.
